It is known that the “Jadran” was previously used as a fishing vessel. In 1943, he was already in service with the partisans, the captain of the ship was Tihomir Vilovic ( serbohorv. Tihomir Vilović ). Distinguished himself on December 31, 1943 , when he accepted the battle with the Croatian ship " Pasman " and forced his crew to capitulate. 24 Germans and 4 Croats were taken prisoner, and on January 5 the Croatian ship was blown up. On June 3, 1944, the crew of the partisan ship, according to unconfirmed reports, shot down an airplane near the island of Brac (the crew of some other ship of NOAJ made no such attempts). October 14, 1944 the ship got involved in the battle off the coast of Croatia and was damaged by coastal artillery fire.
“Jadran” survived the war and, after it was over, continued to serve as a fishing vessel again.
