Magomed Valibagandovich Suleimanov (born April 28, 1959, Izberbash , Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , RSFSR , USSR ) - acting head of Makhachkala , deputy of the People’s Assembly of Dagestan II, IV and V convocations. Biography

Magomed Suleymanov was born on April 28, 1959 in Izberbash . By nationality - Dargin .

In 1978, Magomed Suleymanov graduated from the Balashov Fur-fur College.

In 1989 - Moscow Cooperative Institute with a degree in Trade Economics [1] .

From 1978 to 1993 he worked in the consumer cooperation system of Kalmykia .

From 1993 to 1994 - Chairman of the Board of Izberbash Commercial Bank.

From 1994 to 1997, he was the manager of the Izberbash branch of Makhachkalapromstroybank.

From 1997 to 2007, he served as the head of Izberbash. Since 2001 - Secretary of the Political Council of the Izberbashsky Local Branch of the United Russia Party. According to the Dagestan media, being the head of Izberbash, Magomed Suleymanov was in conflict with the mayor of Makhachkala S. Amirov and State Duma deputy G. Makhachev [1] .

Three times elected as a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan in 1999, 2007 and 2011. From 2007 to 2010 - Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan. Member of the Committee on Health and Social Policy.

Since March 18, 2010 - Executive Director of the Dagestan Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund.

In April 2014, he was appointed to the post of Acting Mayor of Makhachkala [2] . In October 2015, he returned to the MHIF.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the House of Childhood No. 8, Izberbash, trustee of the Children's Center for Restorative Medicine and Rehabilitation of the city of Makhachkala [3] . He is on the lists of donors of the MGIMO Development Fund [2] .

In August 2018, he was arrested on suspicion of organizing a criminal community and the theft of more than 210 million rubles [4] .

A family

Magomed Suleimanov is married, has five children [2] .

The brother of Magomed Suleymanov, Abdulmejid, has been heading the city of Izberbash since 2007 [2] .
