Description History
First described in 1852 in the book of Ledebour Flora rossica under the name Allium leucocephalum Turcz. as a likely synonym for Allium flavidum . In subsequent publications Turchaninova (1854, 1856) was again indicated in synonyms. In 1887, described by Edward Regel under the name Allium flavovirens . The name Turchaninova was first used for a separate species only in the “ Flora of the USSR ” in 1935 (and Allium flavovirens was indicated in synonyms), which makes the name Regel of 1887 a priority [3] .
