Mikhail Ivanovich Alisov ( May 30 [ calendar style? ] 1830 , village of Panki , Kursk Province [1] - 1898 , Crimea ) - Russian inventor in the field of printing, the creator of a typewriter and a hectograph [2] .

Biography

 
"Skoropoprnik" Alisova

Born on May 30, 1830 [3] in the village of Panki (Pankovo), Starooskolsky district, Kursk province [1] in a noble family .

After graduating from the Kursk gymnasium, he studied at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of Kharkov University .

In the following years, he was engaged in inventions, having developed in 1869 the construction of a multiplying apparatus ( hectograph ), which he called "Polygraphy" [4] . The apparatus was fairly simple and the Russian revolutionaries propagated proclamations on it [5] .

In the early 1870s, he created the first domestic typesetting machine, which he called the "Skoroprepnik". This car was first demonstrated in 1873 at the World Exhibition in Vienna , but designed it as an invention only in 1876, having received a patent in Russia. At the following World Exhibitions in the USA ( Philadelphia , 1876) and in France ( Paris , 1878) "Skoropopressnik" received good reviews from printers of the world and was awarded with medals. Medal M. I. Alisov for his invention was also awarded the Russian Imperial Technical Society [5] . Mikhail Ivanovich also in 1879 received a Russian patent for a method of reproducing text, drawings, drawings with the help of special ink and paper, called polygraphy.

He died in the Crimea near Yalta in 1898 [5] . He had the rank of collegiate secretary .

Memory

By order of the head of the local self-government of the city of Gubkin and Gubkinsky district A. A. Kretov dated December 28, 2001 No. 278-p, the name of the inventor Alisov was given to the street located on ul. Raevskogo in the direction of the village Teply Kolodez [6] .
