Uzyan ( South Uzyan, Nizhny Uzyan ; head. Үҙән ) - a river in the European part of Russia , flows in Bashkortostan , the left tributary of the Belaya River (Agidel) ( Volga basin ).

Geographical Information
The length of the river is 116 [2] km, the basin area is 1590 [2] km². The total fall is 570 m. The current velocity is up to 0.8 m / s, and up to 2.5 m / s during the flood. The supply of the river is mixed, with a predominance of snow. The average annual water discharge at the mouth is 3.5 m³ / s. Width - up to 20-25 m [3] .
The source of the river is located on the eastern slope of the Yamangyr range, 10 km north of the village of Kulganino, Burzyan district . It flows from the northeast to the southwest through the territory of the Burzyan district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The upper reaches of the river basin are located within the Bashkir State Nature Reserve . It falls into the Belaya River (Agidel) at 1098 kilometers from its mouth.
The relief of the basin is mid-mountain, in the upper reaches - alpine. Strongly winds in a narrow valley. The bottom of Uzyan is rocky, in the lower reaches - sand and pebble.
Forest cover of the basin is 86%, plowing up - 5%.
Tributaries: left - Saragy , Suvanyak , Yamanyelga, Beter and others; right - Big Sargaya and others.
