Cowgirl drummer [1] ( lat. Habroptila wallacii ) is a large species of flightless birds from the shepherd’s family, the only representative of the monotypic genus Habroptila .

DescriptionLarge, up to 55 cm long, black bird with a long red beak and red legs. It lives on the island of Halmahera ( Malay archipelago ).
Lifestyle & NutritionIt feeds on small vertebrates, mainly rodents, reptiles, amphibians and small birds, insects and occasionally seeds. The lifestyle has been little studied.
