Khmer Air Force

Khmer Air Force ( Fr. Armée de l'air khmère, AAK ) - one of the branches of the armed forces of the Khmer Republic (FANK), which existed during the civil war in Cambodia . Formed after the overthrow of Norodom Sihanouk in 1970 on the basis of the former Royal Air Force of Cambodia. After the fall of the pro-American regime of Lon Nol in April 1975 and the coming to power of the Khmer Rouge , they virtually ceased to exist.
