The Man from the Black Volga is a 1990 Soviet feature film. Filmed by the Dialog film company at the Belarusfilm film studio based on the novel “ New Year in October ” by Andrei Molchanov . The film premiered in December 1990 . One of the last roles of Yuri Demich in the movie. The author of the script is Vladimir Valutsky , as the author of the novel Andrei Molchanov refused to write the script. The first attempt to stage the film was made by director Tatyana Lioznova back in 1983 , but the cinema authorities, frightened by the sharpness of the material, refused the project to the eminent director. Only in 1989, the director Nikolai Lukyanov was able to "break through" the picture on Belarusfilm with enormous efforts.

Story
The main character of the film is a young career scientist Aleksey Vyacheslavovich Proshin ( Yuri Demich ), illegitimate son of the director of the Research Institute of Radiophysics Peter Borisovich Begunov ( Boris Ivanov ). Trying to make maximum use of his father’s official position, he strives in every way to “stake out” his place in science and subsequently become an official. In order to achieve his goals, he uses any means and means.
