Collared bee-eater ( Latin Merops oreobates ) is a species of bird from the family of bee-eater . Lives in Africa: Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda [1] . Birds are found in mountainous regions on wooded slopes and forest edges.

A small bird weighing 17–38 grams and with a body length of about 20 cm [2] . The head, back of the neck, back, wings and tail are colored green. From the beak to the eye and a little further stretches a black stripe. The beak is black. The chin is bright yellow, below, on the neck is a strip of black. Abdomen is brown. The tips of the wings and tail are black.
