Vasily Ivanovich Gavrilov (1884 - November 22, 1919 ) - Russian revolutionary, Bolshevik, participant of the revolutionary events and the Civil War, brother of the revolutionary Alexander Ivanovich Gavrilov , organizer and participant in the creation of the first Sovdepov Ust-Tartas parish and village of Spasskoe .

Delegate and member of the first Kainsk district convention. In June 1918, he was arrested and imprisoned in the Cain prison. On November 22, 1919, he was shot on the Savkina Mane, five kilometers from the city of Kainsk.

Biography
Vasily Ivanovich Gavrilov became the second (only two brothers and four sisters) child in a large family of an old St. Petersburg metalworker Ivan Stepanovich Gavrilov (1858β 2 August ( 15 August ) 1901 , New Tartas [2] ) and Gavrilova (Tikhonova) Seklettigny Ivanovna ( ? -2 October 1938).
Before the revolution, led the economy in the village of Spasskoe, Tomsk province, Kaina district . As a trustee of the Union of Butter Artels at the Novotartas Dairy Plant [3] , he traveled to England (1908β1910) [4] and America to protect the quality of Siberian butter from forgeries, which were sent to foreign markets.
In 1914, drafted into the army. In 1917, he was demobilized from the Russian-German war, arrived at his homeland as a front-line Bolshevik. Wife - Gavrilova Anna Abramovna (November 5, 1880 -?). Two children were born - daughter Claudia and son Vasily.
In February 1918, he took part in the First Peasant County Convention in the city of Kainsk. After the capture of May 26 by Czecho-Socialist-Revolutionary rebels of the Barabinsk station, the garrison of the Red Guards, together with members of the district council of the Workers' and Peasants' and Soldiers' Deputies, fought for the city of Kainsk. Comrade Gavrilov was arrested, as was the chairman Zdvinsky, Moses Stanislavovich and the rest of the county Sovdepo [5] .
In the Kainsk district prison, he was tortured by the Kolchak Kain counterintelligence and the investigative commission in front of his brother Alexander. Total prisoners were more than five hundred people. In prison, Vasily Gavrilov took part in the Bolshevik underground organization. Severely ill transferred to a secret dark alone, shackled.
During the retreat of Kolchak, by order of General V. O. Kappel [4] , under the pretext of re-sending them to the Novo-Nikolaev prison, a punitive detachment shot political prisoners in parties from 54 to 90 people from November 22, 1919 near Kainsk (in the vicinity of the hill of Savkin Mane) to Moscow-Siberian highway (earlier on this road were executed the Bolsheviks - prisoners of the Yekaterinburg prison). From all the tortured and executed the Red Army brought to Barabinsk for relatives' burial of the bodies [6] .
Vasily, together with his brother Alexander Gavrilov, was buried in the cemetery of the village of New Tartas ( Vengerovsky district ).
Memory
The first obelisk to the guerrillas of the civil war with the red star was installed in the garden of the 7-year-old school in the village of Novyi Tartas with the inscription: "Gavrilov Alexander Ivanovich Gavrilov Vasily Ivanovich The red partisans were brutally tortured by Kolchak in November 1919" [7]
The Executive Committee of the Vengerovsky District of the Novosibirsk Region of the Council of Workers' Deputies in the homeland of the Gavrilov brothers, in the village of Novy Tartas, it was decided to name one of the streets by the name of the βGavrilov Brothersβ.
