It was founded in 1910. The name from the Evenki “bir” is a river, a large river [2] .
Geography
Bereya station is located in the upper reaches of the Bereya river (a tributary of the Amur River ).
Bereya station is located 23 km northwest of the city of Shimanovsk , on the Trans-Siberian Railway . The road goes through the Petrusha station .
11 km northeast is the federal highway Chita - Khabarovsk .
From the Bereya station in the western direction (north-west) there is a highway to the village of Mukhino ( Mukhinskaya station).
