Shavarsh Vagarshakovich Badalyan ( Uzbek Shavarsh Vagarshakovich Badalyan ; born January 4, 1998 ; Tashkent , Uzbekistan ) is an Uzbek chess player. Champion of the Republic of Uzbekistan in chess in the category of up to 14 years old, candidate of the international master of sports [1] [2] . Now a university student at the Higher School of Economics .

Biography
Shavarsh Badalyan was born on January 4, 1998 in Tashkent , Uzbekistan , into an Armenian family of physicists . In 2011 he received the title of candidate master of sports. In 2012, Badalyan became the champion of Uzbekistan in chess in the category of under 14 years old. Further, in 2012 and 2013, he took part in the FIDE World Chess Championships in Slovenia and the UAE , in which he took 52 [3] [4] and 66 [5] [6] places, respectively.
