Biography
Born in Leningrad . Member of World War II. In 1942, he volunteered for the front from the besieged Leningrad , served in the Baltic Fleet.
At the end of the war he worked at the enterprises of Leningrad. He graduated from the Leningrad Theater Studio (class A.V. Sokolov) in 1959.
Since 1959 - leading actor of the Russian Drama Theater of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . Director of several productions and literary programs, led a theater studio at Petrozavodsk State University . He played more than 150 roles of different plan.
Starred in the movie. In 1973 in the film “Touch” / Pieskāriens embodied on the screen the image of Bulak-Balahovic . In 1995, starred in the film Lighted by Lightning / Žaibo nušviesti (Lithuania).
Honored Artist of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (10.13.1975). People's Artist of the RSFSR (11.17.1981).
