Elephant Song is a Canadian drama film by Charles Biname, based on the play of the same name by Nicholas Billon. The premiere of the film took place as part of the International Film Festival in Toronto. [1] And the premiere screening in Russia was at the Museum of Moscow as part of the 2morrow / Tomorrow International Film Festival.

Content
Story
The action takes place in a psychiatric hospital in the mid 60-ies of the XX century. Mysteriously, Dr. Lawrence disappeared. The last person to see him was hospital patient Michael Alyn ( Xavier Dolan ). It is with him that Dr. Green, the hospital manager, intends to talk. The conversation between them develops into a complex psychological dialogue-struggle, during which Dr. Green sees Michael through a completely different life prism and understands the reason for his stay in the hospital. As a result, having reached a consensus and finding out the reason for the disappearance of Dr. Lawrence, Dr. Green treats Michael with chocolates as an encouragement, not knowing that the latter has a terrible food allergy to them. After eating candy, the patient dies, which, as it becomes clear, was his main goal - the goal of breaking free from the shackles of a psychiatric hospital.
