According to the 2010 census [1] , 24,029 inhabitants live in the district as a part of 10,474 households and 6,819 families . The population density is 9.00 people per km 2 . There are 14,227 residential buildings on the territory of the district, with a building density of about 5.00 buildings per km 2 . The racial composition of the population: whites - 95.30%, African Americans - 2.70%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.30%, Asians - 0.30%, Hawaiians - 0.00%, representatives of other races - 0.20 %, representatives of two or more races - 1.20%. Hispanic accounted for 1.20% of the population, regardless of race .
24.00% of the total number of households are children under the age of 18, 51.10% of households are married couples living together, 9.10% of households are single women without a spouse, 34.90% of households households are not related to families , 30.40% of households are one person, 12.60% of households are elderly (65 years and older) living alone.
