History

October Bus Station, 2015

In the parking lot of Mullino II, which dates from the borders of VII – VI thousand BC. e., the most ancient remains of a domestic horse are found . According to archaeological research A.V. Zbrueva, V.E. Garutta, S.I. Kiktenko, A.P. Shokurov, V.L. Yakhimovich district of the city of October in the I millennium BC. e. was populated by people of the Kipchak-Turkic tribe.

In the period of the Volga-Bulgarian state, pastoralism begins on nomadic pastoralists. In the second half of the XVI century. and during the 17th century, the Ik valley and the slopes of Narysh-tau became a place of mass migration of the peoples of the Middle Volga. Economic development of the region is taking place.

In 1632, the elder of the Kyr-Elansky clan Kulchan, the son of Kukkuz-Bey received from the Ufa governor Prince M. Yu. Trubetskoy the Moscow Tsar for the possession of patrimonial land along the Ik River valley and the slopes of Narysh-Tau. Villages appeared in these places: in 1684 the formation of Turkmenev began, in 1742 - the construction of Naryshevo, in the 1740-50s. Mulla, Verkhne-Zaitovo appeared. In the same years, the aul of the family foreman Moscau Davletkulov Tau-Bash was built here, later called Moskovskaya.

During the canton management system, the villages of the Narysh-Tau slope included 12 Bashkir and 5 Mishar-Tatar cantons; the population belonged to the military estate. With the formation of the Ufa province in 1865, they entered the Upper Bishinda volost of the Belebeyevsky district [5] .

In 1930, the geologist K.R. Chepikov, relying on the scientific forecasts of academician I.M. Gubkin, discovers a large structure of the oil reservoir on the slopes of Narysh-Tau, in 1935 the oil exploration batch of S.T.Sargaev establishes four drilling wells.

With the discovery of large oil fields (primarily Tuymazinsky) in the west of the republic in 1937 and the organization of the Tuymazaneft trust, a decision was made to build a workers' village of oil workers on the right bank of the Ik River. The place for the construction of the village was chosen in 1937 on the Shaitan Field, between the villages of Mullino and Turkmenevo. In the late 1930s and in severe wartime, the village’s builders, who stood here for three centuries, became a shelter for the first builders of the village. These villages (Stary Tuymazy, Verkhnyaya Zaitovo) were founded by the Bashkirs- Kirelanians [6] [7] . Also here were the villages of Naryshevo, Turkmenyevo and Moskovka. Later they became part of the city. The first tent camps of oil workers appeared here in 1937 - 1938 . In two years, about 20 one-story houses of adobe brick were built, a club, a canteen, and a post office were erected. The first builders called the village a Socialist town (Sotsgorod). The influx of labor into the oil fields was huge, people in the early years dug dugouts and hibernated in them. In 1941-1942 , special immigrants arrived from the Volga region - Germans, who began to cut wood and extract stones at quarries in Naryshevo, Mullino, Moskovka. The first two-story capital houses and the first school were built of rubble stone, so these streets were called Kamenny (now Gorky St.). Sotsgorod renamed the working village of October. In the construction of the city used the labor of prisoners. At the site of the current bus station there was a camp where 25-year-olds were kept - scientists, engineers, military, repressed in different years. Military builders initially organized the entire economy of the village, conducted communications, built bridges. Their barracks were located on the site of the current city park. The first street of the village was named Devonskaya in commemoration of the discovery in 1944 of oil near Naryshev.

On April 5, 1946, the working village of Oktyabrsky in the Tuymazinsky district was transformed into a city of republican subordination. The town included the village of Mullino . The working village was built up haphazardly, it was necessary to streamline the complex urban formation, therefore, in Moscow, the architectural workshop No. 1 of the Vesnin brothers ordered the general plan of the city. The general plan was developed in the classical spirit of Russian urban planning art. Regular quarterly development was designed from the Devka Street formed along Ika and the building adjacent to it. From the center there was a wide Gorky street to the planned railway station along Severnaya street. Two large sections were allotted for city parks, one for the oil workers park founded in 1946, and the second for the future park named after Yuri Gagarin. Along the perimeter of the parks, the Garden Ring is designed in the likeness of the capital. In terms of urban development, it resembles the silhouette of an oil fountain going to the center - the avenue, from Devonskaya Street and beyond the Garden Ring, scattering blocks of low-rise buildings. The city from eight-story dominants of the hotel and the bank gradually switched to a 3-5-story building, and then in the suburbs to 1-2-story houses. About 1900 Finnish houses and barracks were built in 1946–47. Houses formed Green and East villages.

In the early 1950s, the city was built up with 2-5-story capital houses, designed as a single architectural ensemble of quarter development. At this time, significant public buildings of the city were erected: a house of equipment, a recreation center for builders, a department store, 10 school buildings, 8 kindergartens and nurseries. A maternity hospital and a hospital camp for oil workers were built, consisting of four buildings and other buildings. By the beginning of the 1960s , the formation of a new administrative center and Prospect them. Stalin (later pr. Im. Lenin) 2-6-storey capital residential buildings and buildings. With the beginning of the Khrushchev campaign to provide the population with cheap apartments, the demolition of the initial quarters and the introduction of five-story houses into the harmonious development began.

A major city-forming factor of the Oktyabrsky was the construction in the 1970s of the KamAZ satellite - a car factory. The city has developed eastward. In 1977 , in the Leningrad Scientific Research Institute of Urban Planning, the architect S.N.Samenina developed the master plan of the city under the direction of S.I.Sokolov.

The city in the competition "The most comfortable urban (rural) settlement of Russia in 2010" took third place in the category "Urban settlements with a population of 100 thousand or more."
