Allium chrysocephalum (lat.) Is a species of monocotyledonous plants of the genus Onion ( Allium ) of the Amaryllis family ( Amaryllidaceae ). First described by the German-Russian botanist Edward Ludvigovich Regel in 1887 [2] [3] .

Distribution and habitat
Endemic of China [4] , found in the provinces of Gansu , Qinghai and Sichuan . Occurs in meadows and wet slopes [5] .
Botanical description
Bulbous geophyte [4] .
The bulbs are usually cylindrical, sometimes thickened at the base, solitary, 0.5-1 cm in diameter; husk from brown to light brown [5] .
Leaves are linear, slightly crescent, flat [5] .
Inflorescence is a hemispherical or spherical umbrella, carrying a large number of densely placed flowers with a bright yellow perianth perianth [5] .
Flowering and fruiting from July to September [5] .
The number of chromosomes - 2n = 16 [6] .
