Career

Since 1933, Lev Dzekonsky played in the national team of the Georgian Industrial Institute. In 1938, he moved to Lokomotiv , in which he became a bronze (1939) and silver (1940) medalist in the USSR championship. With the outbreak of war, he transferred to the army club system. As a playing coach, twice (1944, 1946) became the champion of the country and vice-champion in 1945. In 1946 and 1948 he became the champion of the Armed Forces.

Coaching career

In addition to the Georgian Industrial Institute, he graduated from the SCOLIFK .

In 1950, he was appointed head coach of the Tbilisi SKA . In 1950-1977, he headed the women's team of the GPI , the champion of the USSR in 1965 and 1966.

Teaching

  • In 1934-1941, he was a teacher at the State Polytechnic Institute .
  • In 1942-1949 - basketball instructor ZakVO .
  • Since 1950 - Senior Lecturer, Department of Sports Games, GPI .
