Guged fortress - a fortress located in the Golpayegan shahrestan near the city of Guged , Iran . In the past, in peacetime, the citadel was used as a caravanserai , but during the war or during gang attacks it could also act as a fortress . Currently, the citadel is used as a traditional tavern [1] .

The citator was built of brick- raw approximately in the XVI century. In past times, representatives of the lower social classes lived on the lower floors of the fortress, while the upper floors were intended for the nobility. In the immediate vicinity of these floors, special openings were provided for the pigeons in the fortress. Such “pigeon holes” were provided as a security system: it was believed that in the event of a night attack, the use of stairs or siege hooks for climbing walls would scare the pigeons, which would warn the guard about the threat with their noise [2] .
It is entered in the register of national historical monuments of Iran under No. 2574 [3] .
