Terry Wall ( born Charles Terence Clegg "Terry" Wall ; born December 14, 1936 , Bristol ) is an English mathematician. Major works in the fields of geometry, topology (in particular, algebraic topology and bordism theory ) and catastrophe theory .

Terry Wall received a mathematical education at Trinity College (Cambridge). In 1960 he defended his thesis for the degree of Ph.D. (Theme of the work: “Algebraic aspects of cobordism”) [3] .
In 1978-1980 he was president of the London Mathematical Society . Awarded the Sylvester Medal (1988). Emerit is a professor at the University of Liverpool (1999) [3] .
