In the village is the Kaminsk Prison (Polish: Zakład Karny Kamińsk ) for repeat offenders, in which is the Chapel of St. Barbara of the Polish Orthodox Church . In addition, now in the village of the Municipal Recreation Center (Polish. Gminne Centrum Rekreacji ), in which there is a cable park .
Near the village in 1934-1945 there was a German military training ground and a prisoner of war camp Stalag IA Headquarters (German: Stalag IA Stablack ), of which the second part was located near the village of Dolgorukovo in Bagrationovskiy district of the Kaliningrad region.
From 1975 to 1998, the village was part of the abolished Olsztyn Voivodeship.
