Elena Ivanovna Lukina ( June 3, 1920 , Saratov - January 9, 2015 ) - aviation navigator during the Great Patriotic War ; honorary citizen of Saratov.

Biography

Since 1940 she studied at the Faculty of Plant Protection at the Agricultural Institute . In December 1942, he volunteered for the front; was a Komsomol and navigator in the aviation regiment of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Marina Raskova . May 9, 1945 met in Courland ( East Prussia ) in the rank of guard lieutenant. Demobilized in 1947

She graduated from the highest party school in Saratov. She worked as the head of the agitation and propaganda department of the Mikoyan Regional Committee of the CPSU ( Astrakhan ), then in Saratov, in the Department of the Volga Railway (head of the department of scientific and technical information).

In 1975 she retired. In 1975-1988 she headed the Council of Veterans of the Volga region, then was a member of the presidium of the city and the Volga Council of Veterans ^[1] . Since 2003 - member of the Aviatris International Pilot Club.

Buried in the old cemetery of Elshansky .
