Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau , the county’s total area is 2,520,073 km 2 , of which 2,514.893 km 2 are land and 6.475 km 2 or 0.300% are water bodies.
Population
According to the 2000 census [1] , the district has 14,872 inhabitants, comprising 6,807 households and 3,185 families . The population density is 6.00 people per km 2 . In the district there are 10,096 residential buildings, with a building density of about 4.00 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 94.33%, African - Americans - 0.53%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.27%, Asians - 1.12%, Hawaiians - 0.04%, representatives of other races - 2.37 %, representatives of two or more races - 1.34%. Hispanics accounted for 6.54% of the population, regardless of race .
Of the total number of households , 21.10% are children under the age of 18, 38.70% of households are married couples living together, 5.30% of households are single women without a spouse, 53.20% of households households are not related to families , 35.80% of households consist of one person, 3.50% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone. The average household size is 2.14 people and the average family size is 2.77 people.
The age structure of the district: 16.70% under the age of 18, 7.70% from 18 to 24, 38.30% from 25 to 44, 30.50% from 45 to 64, and 30.50% from 65 and older. The average age of a resident of the district is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 115.10 males . For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 117.40 males .
The average household income in the district was USD 59,375, and USD 75,048 per household . The average earnings of a man were 40 672 USD against 33 896 USD for a woman . The per capita income was $ 40,811.
