Biography
Born in 1889 in the city of Feodosia, Crimean province.
He began his career as a slaughterer at the Zhurinka mine of the Leninugol trust. In 1933 he moved permanently to the city of Kiselevsk . Since 1933 he has been working as a tuner at mine 1-2 (highway No. 12). He was the first in Kiselevsk to apply the multilateral method, the first in the city to become the Hero of Socialist Labor. In 1947, Vasily Romanovich was awarded the title "Excellence in the Socialist Competition of the Coal Industry of the USSR", the title "Honorary Miner", and in 1948 (August 28) he was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor.
In 1949, Semykin V.R. was elected a delegate to the 2nd Plenum of the Central Committee of the coal industry workers union, and in 1950 - a deputy to the USSR Supreme Council of the 3rd convocation.
He died in February 1980.

He was awarded the orders of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, "Badge of Honor", the gold medal "Hammer and Sickle", "For Labor Distinction", the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", the jubilee medal "For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the centenary of the birth of V. I. Lenin. " In 1979 he was awarded the Veteran of Labor medal.
