Diocese of Guanare ( Latin: Dioecesis Guanarensis ) - Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with a center in the city of Guanare , Venezuela . The Diocese of Guanare is a member of the Metropolitanate of Barkisimeto . The cathedral of the diocese of Guanare is the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Coromoto, which is also the most important sanctuary of the Virgin Mary in Venezuela.

Content
History
On June 7, 1954, Pope Pius XII established the Diocese of Guanare, isolating it from the Diocese of Barkisimeto (today - the Archdiocese of Barquisimeto ) and the Diocese of Calaboso (today - the Archdiocese of Calaboso ).
On December 27, 2002, the Diocese of Guanare transferred part of its territory to the newly established Diocese of Acarigua-Araura .
