Asovo is a village in the Berezovsky district of the Perm Territory on the Asovka River, a tributary of the Barda that flows into the Sylva (a tributary of Chusova). The administrative center of the Asov rural settlement .

History
The village arose at the end of the XVII century. In 1703, the village of Sedegova (the Sedegovs lived in it), in 1747, the village of Osof. The name was given by the Asovka River, which in 1623-1624. It was called Osov (in 1625 - Asov). The name comes from the Turkic word asau - "bitter, brackish" (in these places there are salt sources). The status of the village was received in 1833, when the stone Holy Trinity Church was laid here. In 1823, a sawmill was founded on Asovka, operating until 1917 [2] .
Geographical position
Located on the right bank of the Asovka River (left tributary of the Barda River), about 25 km southeast of the district center, the village of Beryozovka .
