Biography

Born on January 27, 1935 in the village of Lata, Gulripshsky District, Abkhaz Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Georgian SSR (now Abkhazia ).

In 1942, the news came to the family - in the battles with the Nazi invaders near Kharkov , his father died. Mother stayed with three children. Together with his older brothers, Vitaly joined the work early, helping his mother. In 1949, after graduating from eight classes, he entered a culinary school and then worked as a chef in Sochi .

In 1954, Evdomashko was drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army and sent to a school of divers in the city of Balaklava ( Crimea ). After graduating from the school of divers, he served in the emergency rescue squad of the Baltic Fleet.

After being dismissed from the Armed Forces, in 1958, he arrived at the Aksai Specialized Department of Underwater Engineering Works No. 5 of the Soyuzpodvodgazstroy trust. Since 1965, he was a senior diving specialist of the detachment, and then of the department of SUPTR No. 5. He worked in Ukraine, in the Stavropol Territory, in the Kuban, in Central Asia and the Don, wherever there are gas pipelines and oil pipelines, the underwater part was made by divers led by V. A. Evdomashko. He was a member of the CPSU .

Vitaly Alexandrovich died in a car accident on November 25, 1992 in the city of Aksay, Rostov Region.

Rewards

  • By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 30, 1971, for outstanding achievements in fulfilling the tasks of the five-year plan and achieving high technical and economic indicators, Vitaly Aleksandrovich Evdomashko was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.
