Pierre Gaspard-Herculean Chastiné , Marquis Puisegur ( fr. Pierre-Gaspard-Herculin de Chastenet de Puységur ; August 4, 1769 , La Rochelle - February 10, 1848 , Rabastens ), - French politician and author of works on political topics.

He came from the noble family of Puysegyurov , was the grand-nephew of Pierre-Louis and Jean-Auguste de Chastinet de Puysegyuram. His father was the infantry leader and governor of Thionville .
During the French Revolution he was in exile and in 1795 he participated in the royalists attack on Quiberon .
After the accession of Louis XVIII, the Marquis returned to the country, on December 10, 1823 he was elected to parliament, and on December 23 of that year he became a peer of France .
In 1830 (after the next revolution and the establishment of the July monarchy ), he swore allegiance to King Louis Philippe and retained the deputy’s mandate until the end of his life.
The most famous work of his authorship: “De l'Action donnée sur les événements humains. Leçons tirées de l'histoire pour servir d'introduction à l'étude de l'état social du XIX siècle ”(Paris, 1840).
