Story
The series takes place in a bar called Quindecim, which is unremarkable at first glance. Visitors to this bar are involuntarily people who have already died, but have not yet gone to heaven or hell. The manager of the institution, and part-time and a bartender named Dakim, invites visitors to play a game where their life will be a bet (which is shocking to many at first, but since they have no right to refuse the game, they simply have no choice) and find out who worthy of reincarnation , and who goes into oblivion .
Characters
Decim ( Japanese デ キ ム Dekimu ) is the main character of the series and the film. The manager of the Quindecim bar ( Jap. ク イ ー ン デ キ ム Kui: ndekimu ) (before Quimdecim controlled the bar) is located on the 15th floor (the name of the bar is related to its location and is translated from Latin as “fifteen”). The bartender, as well as the curator of deadly games. Calm and cold-blooded, does not show emotions. She is proud of her role as a judge, while not forgetting the respectful attitude towards visitors as a duty of the bar manager. Has the ability to control threads. Judging by the fact that they can lift a person, as well as several objects at the same time, these threads are very durable. As a hobby, he creates mannequin dolls . According to Nona, preparing first-class cocktails . Translated from Latin, his name means "ten" ( lat. Dècim ). In subsequent events, he manifests human emotions that changed him. At the end of the series he was able to smile sincerely.
- Seiyu : Tomoaki Maeno
Tiyuki ( 知 幸 п ) , formerly known as the Woman with black hair ( 黒 髪 の 女 Kuroki no Onna ) is the main character of the series and the film. Decim could not condemn her, as she remembered the events of her life. Nona erased her memory and offered to stay in Quindecim. Now she helps Dekim in conducting games already as an assistant and meets newly arrived visitors. Clever, not shy to say what he thinks. In recent events, she recalls her house, relatives, friends, the way she loved to skate (figure skater). But once she severely injured her leg and it soon became clear that she could no longer ride. From the inability to understand herself and others around her after an injury, she committed suicide.
- Seiyu: Asami Seto
Nona ( ノ ー ナ No: na ) - the manager of the Nona Ginta bar ( ノ ー ナ ー ギ ン タ ー ー But: na: ginta :) located on the 90th floor of the same building as Quindecim. Works in the tower for about 82 years. He is the head of Decim, Ginti and the rest of the owners of bars in this building. He looks young, but smart and very experienced. Very strong (spiritually and physically) Sometimes present at deadly games as a jury. Often plays billiards with Oculus. He wants to create judges with emotions.
- Seiyu: Rumi Okubo
Ginti ( ギ ン テ ィ Ginti ) is the manager of the Vi Ginti bar ( ウ ィ ー ギ ン テ ィ Wu: ginti ) , located on the 20th floor. It has a rather rude character. He does not like Decim. He does not trust a woman with black hair. Able to control water by creating balls from it. Afraid of Nona. And Ginti has a hobby of collecting kokeshi dolls . Also, Maya is constantly bored with him - the only one of his visitors whom he could not condemn and who is still loitering in the bar. After he has to send the girl to the void because of her choice, even the cat leaves him.
- Seiyu: Yoshimasa Hosoya
Klavis ( Jap. ク ラ ヴ ィ ス Kuravisu ) - lifter with green hair. He has a cheerful disposition, is friendly, and at the same time is rather mysterious. Often he can be seen paired with Nona. Likes to laugh at the failures of Ginti. Always smiling.
- Seiyu: Koki Utiyama
Quinn ( ク イ ー ン Quin ) is an information desk employee who owned the Quindecim bar until Decim. A lover of a drink with Nonna, especially wine from the human world.
- Seiyu: Ruoko Shiraishi
Okulus ( Japanese オ ク ル ス Okurusu ) - often plays billiards with Nona (5770 times) and often loses. The main candidate for the office of God. The beard and hair of the Oculus has the shape of a lotus, also, if the beard of the Oculus, that is, the lotus, opens, then it has the ability to cover it with someone's head (for example, like Clavis) thereby seeing his memories. Against Nona's idea of creating a judge with emotions. He wears purple shorts and a blue striped shirt. A bit narcissistic.
- Seiyu: Tessho Ganda

Criticism
Shortly after the premiere of the series, ANN critics generally welcomed the continuation of the short film. The original “bewitching” style and realistic characters were noted. Also, according to critics, the target audience of the series is quite old, as it talks about the cruel fate of people and shows their negative side. The plot is compared with the play by Jean-Paul Sartre, "Behind Closed Doors . " Despite the positive reviews, critics expressed concern that the original idea of the film, used in the 12-episode series, may bother the viewer who is used to the rapid development of the plot [5] .
