Maria Dizzia ( born Maria Dizzia , born December 29, 1974) is an American actress. In 2010, she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a play for her performance in the Broadway production In the Next Room [3] . In 2013, she was nominated for " Drama Desk " for her lead role in the off-Broadway play Belleville [3] [4] .

Dizzia was born in Belleville, New Jersey, and graduated from Cornell University , after which she received a master's degree from the University of California at San Diego [5] . Since then she has been actively performing on the theater stage, and also sometimes played secondary roles in such films as “ Love and Other Circumstances ” (2009), “ Martha, Marcy May, Marlene ” (2011), “ Risk Limit ” (2011), “Happily Sad” (2013), “While We Are Young” (2015) and “True Story” (2015).
On television, Dizzia is best known for her minor role as the protagonist’s best friend in Netflix ’s series “ Orange Is The Hit Of The Season, ” where she starred in 2013-14. She also appeared in Law and Order , Law and Order: Criminal Intent , Louis , and The Good Wife .
