Pierre Shompret fr. Pierre Chompré (1698, Nancy (Navr) - July 18, 1760, Paris) - French scholar, teacher, author of dictionaries and editor of Latin sermons.

He was the owner of a private school in Paris and wrote a series of textbooks for his younger students.
His works: “Dictionnaire de la fable” (1727, 12 issues; the book was reprinted several times before the middle of the XIX century), “Dictionnaire abrégé de la Bible” (1755, 12 issues; reprinted in 1801), “Selecta latini sermonis exemplaria” ( his translations from Latin, published from 1747 to 1757).
