History
The band was created in Nuremberg by guitarist Peter Kafka ( German: Peter Kafka ) and vocalist Ski-King. The final lineup of Beloved Enemy, formed by 2008, was joined by bassists Shai Deveraux ( German: Chai Deveraux ) and Eddy ( German: Eddy ), as well as drummer Martin Kessler ( German: Kessler ). The artists of the band were influenced by artists such as Type O Negative , Nine Inch Nails , and Rob Zombies . In April 2007, the debut album “Enemy Mine” was released, even before the release of which the musicians distinguished themselves by recording songs for the soundtracks of two German films [3] . The album is evaluated differently by music critics [4] [5] , individual reviewers noted "a combination of dark romance and hard industrial in the album’s composition" [3] .
After the release of Enemy Mine, the group takes part in a number of Gothic music festivals [3] . Their next album, “Thank You for the Pain” (2011), as well as the first release, attracted the attention of critics [6] .
Planned for release at the end of 2011, Behind Enemy Lines never saw the light of day. Later, one of the founders of Beloved Enemy Ski-King began to lose interest in the project, and after performing at the Castle Rock Festival in Mülheim an der Ruhr in 2013, the musicians announced the band’s breakup [3] .
