History
The Neo - Renaissance style palace was designed by architect Sigmund Hendl at the end of the 19th century by its first owner, Jan Skirliński. Earlier on the same place was another palace, built at the turn of the XVIII and XIX centuries. After the death of Jan Skirlinsky, the palace was sold by his heirs to the Sousky family of Krakow. Later, the palace passed into the hands of various owners, among whom were representatives of Polish aristocratic families Yavorski, Madei and Chekhovichi. After World War II, the palace was nationalized and transferred to an orphanage. In the 50s of the 20th century, the building belonged to the district branch of mechanical engineering and later to the state department of mechanical engineering.
On March 14, 1968, the palace was entered in the register of cultural monuments of Malopolska Voivodeship (No. A-658 / M [1] ).
In the second half of the 90s of the 20th century, the building was owned for a short time by the commercial organization PROMEROL, then it was handed over to the former owners of the Susky clan.
Currently, the palace is in the process of restoration.
