Content

History

It was established by the decision of the Holy Bishops' Council of the Serbian Orthodox Church on April 16/29, 2010 , in commemoration of the upcoming anniversary celebrations in honor of the 1700th anniversary of the signing of the Edict of Milan 313 by the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Emperor Constantine the Great , for rewarding for services to the Serbian Orthodox Church. The award decision is made by the Holy Synod of Bishops and approved by the Patriarch of Serbia .

The Order recognizes outstanding merits in the spiritual, educational and humanitarian fields, active love for the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people , as well as for their contribution to freedom of religion and human rights [1] . The order has one degree and can be awarded to both clergy and secular persons, as well as collectives and organizations.

Badge of the Order

The Order of the Holy King Constantine is a gilded metal sign in the form of Chrysma , that is, a monogram of the name of Christ , which consists of two initial Greek letters of the name ( Greek ΧΡΙΣΤΌΣ ) - Χ (chi) and Ρ (po), crossed among themselves. Along the edges of the monogram are small Greek letters α and ω .

The badge of the order is worn on a neck moire ribbon of white color with gold embroidery on the edges. The width of the tape is 2.9 centimeters.
