Izrael Shpah (1560–1610) - German physician, medical writer and teacher of medicine.

Biographical information about him is not enough. It is known that in 1581 he received the degree of doctor of medicine at the University of Tübingen, and from 1589 he taught medicine and Hebrew at the University of Strasbourg, having the title of professor of medicine [1] .
Known for his major collections of works on medicine written in Latin: “Nomenclator scriptorum medicorum, hoc est: elenchus eorum qui artem medicam suis scriptis illustrarunt, secundum locos communes ipsius medicinae, cum duplici indice et rerum et auctorum” (Frankfurt, 1591) Gynaeciorum sive de mulierum affectibus et morbis libriocecum, arabum ... opus ex multis auctoribus congestum ”(Strasbourg, 1597; ibid, 1598).
