Dmitry Mikhailovich Yurovsky (born November 6, 1979 , Moscow ) is a German conductor, music director and chief conductor of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater [1] , the Royal Flemish Opera in Antwerp and Ghent [2] and the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra [3] .

Biography
The son of conductor Mikhail Vladimirovich Yurovsky and Eleonora Dmitrievna Taratuta, grandson of the composer Vladimir Mikhailovich Yurovsky . [4] [5] Elder brother - conductor Vladimir Yurovsky , sister - pianist and teacher Maria Dribinsky (nee Yurovskaya). [6] [7]
From the age of six he studied playing the cello at the Central Music School at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory , but was forced to leave his instrumental career due to ankylosing arthrosis. [8] In 1989 he emigrated with his family to Germany . He continued his studies in Berlin and Rostock . He studied at the conducting department of the Hans Aisler Academy of Music in Berlin. [9]
He was an assistant to his father in preparing the recording of Boris Godunov ( Orchestra of the Berlin Radio ) and in 2004 at the production of Parsifal at the Genoa Theater Carlo Felice. In 2005, he began an independent conducting career - he performed with the Orchestra of the Munich Radio, the orchestras of the National Theater of Rome, the Comische of Opera , the Teatro Massimo ( Palermo ), the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa , the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra and other groups, as well as Mikhailov theater and the New Israeli Opera. Since January 1, 2011 - chief conductor of the Royal Flemish Opera in Antwerp and Ghent . From the same year, he was the chief conductor of the Moscow Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Moscow.
