Yurovsky, Dmitry Mikhailovich

Dmitry Mikhailovich Yurovsky (born November 6, 1979 , Moscow ) is a German conductor, music director and chief conductor of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater [1] , the Royal Flemish Opera in Antwerp and Ghent [2] and the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra [3] .

Biography

The son of conductor Mikhail Vladimirovich Yurovsky and Eleonora Dmitrievna Taratuta, grandson of the composer Vladimir Mikhailovich Yurovsky . [4] [5] Elder brother - conductor Vladimir Yurovsky , sister - pianist and teacher Maria Dribinsky (nee Yurovskaya). [6] [7]

From the age of six he studied playing the cello at the Central Music School at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory , but was forced to leave his instrumental career due to ankylosing arthrosis.
