Hop is in the north-eastern part of Korablinsky district .

History
The village Khmeleva appeared after 1917. The community of peasants Pustotino-Kislovsky owned land called Khmeleva.
In 1919, the “widow of Kudinkina’s husband, Pyotr Kudinkina, was allocated ... a manor house in Khmelevoy”. Kudinkina did not have enough money for moving and construction. She stayed in the village.
On May 22, 1923, the general meeting of citizens of the Pustoinsky Society of Kislovsky decided to allocate the land for each living soul from the total number of the land of the community to the Khmelevsky village of 404 souls.
