In 1982 he graduated from the Odessa Polytechnic Institute , worked as an atomic engineer in the Crimea [2] . From 1992 to 1995 he studied at the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors in Moscow (workshop of Evgeny Tashkov ), received a graduate diploma in 1997 [1] .
Member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts "Nika" and "Golden Eagle".
Creativity
According to Andrei Osipov, the Crimean period, during which he became acquainted with Voloshin’s house and the poetry of the Silver Age , had a great influence on his future film biography: “energy replenishment” received in Koktebel helped to find topics for work in film documentary [2] .
Osipov’s film debut took place in 1994, when he directed the film “The Duel”. Three years later, his tape “Voices” was released, which received a number of awards and was noted at festivals (Grand Prix of the non-fiction film festival “ Russia ” in Yekaterinburg (1997), the first prize at the student work competition “ Saint Anna ” (1998), “ Prize of Europe ”at the international television festival in Berlin (1998) and others) [1] .
The film critics Et Etetera (2000, the prize of the General Gazeta at the Stalker Film Festival) and Maximilian Voloshin, who shot Andrei Osipov, attracted special attention of film critics. Voices ”(2002),“ Hunting for an Angel, or Four Loves of a Poet and Diviner ”(2002,“ Nika ”and“ Golden Eagle ”awards),“ Passion for the Marina ”(2004,“ Nika ”Prize),“ Silver Age Legends ” "(2005) [1] . Cinema experts noted the “ teenager passion” of Osipov’s works, his admiration for the representatives of the Silver Age [3] :
| The directness of Osipov’s pathos (“Look what kind of people they were! Titans, not people!”) Makes his films in my eyes just like ballads, like Stevenson’s . |
According to the literary critic Nikita Eliseev , the films of Andrei Osipov are a kind of on-screen analogue of the paintings of Ilya Glazunov [4] . Cinema expert Andrei Shemyakin believes that the director’s cycle of poets of the Silver Age is “a special, unique phenomenon, where the laws of documentary and popular science are very difficult to correlate” [5] . Pyotr Bagrov ranks Osipov’s work as “a clear presentation of history”; the shortcomings, according to the film expert, are associated with an inaccurately designed concept [5] . Victor Matisen sees in his trilogy of poetry "a classic example of educational cinema" [5] :
| By themselves, the artistic means used by the author of the film are traditional, but their application is non-traditional. For example, in “Voices” we hear people who died long ago, who once lived in the dacha of Maximilian Voloshin. It would seem that the usual game reconstruction - but not quite. <...> An atmosphere arises either in a spiritualistic session, widespread at that time in certain circles, or in a “haunted house”. |
