The village is located near the river Kholmusha [4] or Poksha . [five]
History
Together with the villages of Burtasovo , Yevkovo , Bakhurino, Bedrino , Kuchino, Litvinovo and Sledovo belonged to Kostroma landowner S. I. Kartsev, whose son, A. S. Kartsev, was a theater-goer who had his own house in Kostroma and did a lot for the development of Kostroma theater. [6]
According to the Lists of populated places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village was located 22 miles from Kostroma , belonged to 2 camps of the Kostroma district of the Kostroma province . It consisted of 12 yards , lived 35 men and 33 women. [4] [K. one]
According to the 1897 census , 103 people lived in the village (46 men and 57 women). [5] [K. 2]
According to the List of populated areas of the Kostroma province in 1907, the village belonged to the Shishkin volost of the Kostroma district of the Kostroma province . According to the volost administration for 1907, it included 21 peasant households and 125 inhabitants. The main occupations of the inhabitants of the village, in addition to farming, were carting and factory trade . [5] [K. 3]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was part of the Kalinkovsky rural settlement of Sudislavsky district. [7] [8]
