Johnny Otis ( born Johnny Otis , birth name Ioannis Alexandre Veliotis , born Ioannis Alexandres Veliotes ) is an American musician, orchestra leader, nicknamed "the godfather of rhythm and blues ." For his achievements as a producer, songwriter and star of many stars, the “talent hunter” was admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 as a “non-executor”. In addition, since the mid-1940s, he has been recording with his rhythm and blues orchestra, having released such now-classic things as “Double Crossing Blues” (9 weeks in the first place on the Billboard’s R&B chart ), “ Mistrusting Blues ”,“ Barrelhouse Boogie ”and“ Rockin 'Blues ” [1] .
