Lyres is an American garage rock band founded in 1979 by members of the discontinued DMZ band. [1] The line-up is led by vocalist Jeff "Monoman" Conolly, and he remains the only permanent member of the group. The Allmusic source calls their sound sports, energetic thrash rock, inspired by The Seeds ,? & the Mysterians , The Stooges and the early British invasion (especially the early The Kinks ). [2]
