Mukhachev, Yakov Ivanovich

Yakov Mukhachev was born on October 17, 1913 in the village of Baraki (now the Oktyabrsky district of the Kostroma region ). He graduated from the village school and the hydrotechnical department of the forest technical school, after which he worked as a hydraulic engineer. In September 1935, Mukhachev was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1937, he graduated from the Kiev Artillery School, after which he served in command positions in artillery units. In 1941, Mukhachev graduated from the command department of the F.E.Dzerzhinsky Military Artillery Academy ^[1] .
