Biography
Vsevolod Dubov was born on May 22, 1902 in St. Petersburg . Before military service he worked as a librarian, clerk, and draftsman. In October 1919, Dubov went to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He participated in the battles of the Civil War, including in battles with the troops of General Nikolai Yudenich and the suppression of the Kronstadt uprising [1] .
After the end of the Civil War, Oaks continued to serve in the Red Army. In 1921 he graduated from the Petrograd cavalry command courses, in 1923 - repeated courses of the command staff of the Separate Caucasian Army. He served in cavalry units in the Caucasus, participated in the suppression of anti-Soviet actions. Since 1932, Dubov served in the Far East. In March 1938 he was arrested by the NKVD of the USSR on trumped-up charges, but in July 1939 he was released and continued to serve in the cavalry units [1] .
Since July 1941, Colonel Vsevolod Borisovich Dubov - on the fronts of World War II, commanded the 390th Rifle Regiment. In August 1941, in battles on the Western Front, Dubov was seriously wounded and was treated for a long time in hospitals. Since August 1942, he commanded the 23rd Cavalry Division of the 15th Cavalry Corps, and since June 1943 he served as deputy chief of staff and chief of the operational management of the staff of the Transcaucasian Front [1] .
After the war, Dubov continued to serve in the Soviet Army. On August 3, 1953, he was awarded the military rank of lieutenant general. Since March 1957, Dubov served as deputy commander of troops of the Siberian Military District for combat training and at the same time as head of the district Directorate for Combat Training.
Chief of Staff of the Northern Military District. He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Karelian-Finnish SSR and the Supreme Council of the Karelian ASSR.
In August 1960, Dubov was sacked. He lived in Kiev . He died on November 26, 1975 [1] , was buried at the Lukyanovsky military cemetery in Kiev.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin , three Orders of the Red Banner , the Order of the Badge of Honor and a number of medals [1] .
