Eder, Elfie

Elfrid "Elfi" Eder ( German: Elfriede "Elfi" Eder , born January 5, 1970 , Leogang ) is an Austrian skier , winner of the Olympic Games and the World Cup, winner of the World Cup. Most successfully performed in slalom. Sister skier Sylvia Eder .

In the World Cup, Eder made her debut on December 2, 1990 , in November 1995 she won her first career victory at the World Cup stage in slalom. In total, he has 3 victories at the stages of the World Cup, all in slalom. The best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is for Eder 11th place in the 1995/96 season, in the same season she won the small Crystal Globe in the slalom standings.

At the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, she won silver in slalom, losing 0.34 seconds to Swiss champion Freni Schneider , and 0.26 seconds ahead of Katy Koren , who became the third Slovenian .

During her career she participated in three world championships , at the 1993 world championships she won a bronze medal in slalom.

In the 1998/99 season, having ceased to be in the Austrian national team, she played for Grenada . She completed her sports career in 1999 , used skis manufactured by Rossignol .
