The 36th European Speed Skating Championship was held February 3 - 4, 1935 in Helsinki ( Finland ). The championship was held at four distances: 500 meters - 1,500 meters - 5,000 meters - 10,000 meters. Only men took part in the competition - 20 skaters from 3 countries. The champion of Europe was the Austrian speed-walker Karl Vatsulek , the Norwegian Bernt Evensen and Birger Vasenius Finland became prize-winners.
