Biography
Born in Naples, the eldest of five brothers. At the age of 14, he began playing guitar in a group created with friends. He mastered the instrument first on his own, then at a music school. He participated in several little-known groups, including New Jet, created together with a friend Gino Giglio (Gino Giglio). This group participated in several concerts and received public acclaim. In 1977, EMI released the first disc of Daniele Terra mia, which contained the most successful tracks for a long time - “Na tazzulella 'e cafè” and “Napule è”. In 1995, he began a new stage in his creative biography, moving away from Neapolitan song and starting a collaboration with , , Giovanotti and the group [1] .
In 1980, he recorded the new album Nero a Metà, which was a great success with the public and recognized by music critics as his best work. For the singer, the period of the release of successful discs and concerts began, including in the Paris Olympia Hall, New York Apollo . In the same 1980, he was honored to open a Bob Marley concert at the San Siro Stadium, and on September 19, 1981, Daniele gave the famous concert at the Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples, where about 200 thousand people listened. Thanks to his friendship with Massimo Troisi entered the world of cinema and wrote music for several films, including: “I will begin with three” (Ricomincio da tre), “The Lord’s Paths are completed” ( Le vie del Signore sono finite ), “It seemed to me that it is love ”(Pensavo fosse amore invece era un calesse). In the 1980s, he had a heart attack, but doctors managed to save him [2] .
Personal life
The first wife of Pino Daniele was Dorina Giangrande - she sang in the choir on the recording of the Terra mia CD, the couple had two children - Alessandro and Christina. He later married Fabiola Sciabbarasi, whom he met in 1992 (she was then 24 years old and worked as a model), from her Daniele had three children: Sarah, Sofia and Francesco. In 2013, Pino went to Amanda Bonini, about which the press knew little [3] .
Death and funeral
January 4, 2015, when Daniele was in his house in the province of Grosseto ( Tuscany ), he had a heart attack. The singer refused hospitalization in nearby Magliano in Tuscany and demanded to take him to the Roman hospital Sant Eugenio to his cardiologist Achille Gaspardone, but in the ambulance his condition worsened, and upon arrival at the hospital resuscitation was unsuccessful [4] . On February 7, 2015, the first official results of the prosecutor’s investigation were published: the cause of Daniele’s death was the blockage of the artificial vessel that he had previously installed during coronary artery bypass surgery , his life could be saved in a hospital near his home [5] .
On December 30, 2015, Daniele's ashes were reburied in a crypt, specially for this purpose, designed by architect Andrea Spinelli in a cemetery in Magliano in Tuscany [6] .
