Galina Yurievna Skiba (born May 9, 1984 in Kharkov ) is a Russian hockey player who plays as an attacker in the Dmitriy Tornado team and in the Russian women's team .

Biography
Born May 9, 1984 in Kharkov . At an early age she moved to Belgorod, where she began to engage in figure skating. Soon she moved to the hockey section, her father Yuri Alekseevich became the first coach. In 2002, she came to Moscow to be selected for the hockey team. Received an offer from Nizhny Novgorod SKIF and accepted it - as a member of the Nizhny Novgorod team, she played until 2006. Since 2006, stands for Dmitrov near Moscow. Since 2003, playing for the Russian team.
Sister of the coach of the youth hockey team "Dragoons" Alexei Skiba [1] .
Champion of Russia (2007, 2009, 2011-2013). Silver medalist of the championships of Russia (2008, 2010). Winner of the European Cup.

Disqualification
On December 12, 2017, by a decision of the International Olympic Committee, for the violation of anti-doping rules, the results obtained at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi were canceled and suspended for life from participating in the Olympic Games [3] . On February 1, 2018, the Court of Arbitration for Sport partially granted the appeal, replacing life suspension with a pass to the 2018 Olympic Games [4] .
