According to the United States Census Bureau , the county’s total area is 17,428.127 km 2 , of which 14,882,155 km 2 are land and 2,419.062 km 2 or 14.600% are water bodies.
Population
According to the 2010 census [1] , 49 975 residents of 16,058 households and 12,891 families live in the okrug. The population density is 3.37 people per km 2 . There are 17 326 residential buildings in the district, with a building density of about 1.17 buildings per km 2 . Racial composition of the population: white - 91.77%, African - Americans - 0.34%, Native Americans ( Indians ) - 0.82%, Asians - 0.89%, Hawaiians - 0.17%, representatives of other races - 3.77 %, representatives of two or more races - 2.24%. Hispanics accounted for 8.31% of the population, regardless of race .
Of the total number of households , 41.32% are children under the age of 18 years, 67.44% of households are married couples living together, 8.69% of households are single women without a spouse, 19.72% of households households are not related to families , 17.16% of households consist of one person, 7.39% of households consist of elderly people (65 years and older) living alone. The average household size is 3.09 people and the average family size is 3.50 people.
The age composition of the district: 36.60% under the age of 18, 5.55% from 18 to 24, 25.37% from 25 to 44, 21.35% from 45 to 64 and 21.35% from 65 and older. The average age of a resident of the district is 30.6 years. For every 100 females there are 101.59 males . For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 96.61 males .
