Bishop of Palencia from May 26, 1992 to September 8, 1995. Bishop of Bilbao from September 8, 1995 to March 13, 2010. Archbishop Valladolid since March 13, 2010. Chairman of the Spanish Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2005 to 2008 and from 2014. Vice-Chairman of the Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2008 to 2014. Biography
Ricardo Blazquez Perez received his religious education at the Avila Junior Seminary (1955-1960), and then at the Avila Higher Seminary (1960-1967).
From April 8, 1988 to May 26, 1992 consisted of the titular bishop of ancient Germa in Galatia ( Anatolia ) and the auxiliary bishop of Santiago de Santiago de Compostela . Bishop of Palencia from May 26, 1992 to September 8, 1995 Bishop of Bilbao from September 8, 1995 to March 13, 2010. Archbishop of Valladolid since March 13, 2010. Chairman of the Spanish Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2005 to 2008 and from 2014. Vice-Chairman of the Conference of Catholic Bishops from 2008 to 2014.
