Lev Nikolaevich Somov (in Ukrainian. Lev Mikolayovich Somov ; born March 14, 1964 , Samara ) is the leading actor of the Kiev Academic Theater of Drama and Comedy on the left bank of the Dnieper ; the limits of the performances are not kept alone by far from a catchy plot ” [1] . Biography
Born on March 14, 1964 in Samara .
Father - choreographer, choreographer Nikolai Somov (born 1942), Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation . Pupil of Yoel Plakhta and Nikolai Tarasov , teacher of Vadim Pisarev and Alexander Stoyanov .
A few years after the birth of her son, the whole family moved to Donetsk , where Nikolai Somov got a permanent job in the local theater. In 1983, Lev Somov graduated from Donetsk Musical School, cello.
In 1988 he began work at the Kiev National Academic Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesia Ukrainka [2] . In 1991, he graduated from the Kiev National University of Theater, Film and Television named after IK Karpenko-Kary under the supervision of Nikolai Rushkovsky [2] . At the same time, was torn between roles in the theater of Russian drama and drama theater "Bravo".

In 1995, he moved from the theater of Russian drama to the theater of drama and comedy on the left bank of the Dnieper [2] . In 1997 he was awarded the first in his career theater award " Kiev Pectoral " as the best debutant of the year under the pseudonym Lev Khokhlov for the play "Bitter Romance", staged on the stage of the theatrical art workshop "Constellation" [4] . In 2004, followed by a second award for secondary work in the play “The Sea. Night. Candles ”, and in 2012 - the third, for the plastic solution of the children's play“ Passenger in a suitcase ” [5] [6] . The fourth statuette was given to the actor for the female role of Madame Rosa, an old Polish Jewish woman, staged by Romain Gary “Life Ahead” (“ All Life Ahead ”).
In the early 2000s, he created the second play “The Perfect Charlie”, the plot of which starts from the classic work of Daniel Keese, “ Flowers for Algernon ”: “I wrote this play ten years ago. She was ready, but I still did not dare to put the final point. Everything seemed to be something that didn’t sound that way, it’s not relevant ... The story for the American science fiction writer Daniel Keese, The Flowers for Algernon, became the core of this story. But I consider my play original, here are the original dialogues, from the book of Kiz I took only one phrase. In October 2014, Somov was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine .

He is married to a photographer and decorator of the theater of Russian drama named after Lesya Ukrainka Irina Somova.
Perception
It should be noted that Lev Somov in the sci-fi premiere of "Suzirya" appears in three roles: the playwright, the director and performer of the role of the genius neurosurgeon Alan Nimur.
